.            Md, d 1798 Md, his wife was Mary, and he was s/o Henry Howes, b 1694, d Calvert Co, Md and Sarah Corburt, d Calvert Co, and
.            that Henry Sr was s/o Charles Howes, b 1660, d 1716, who was s/o Thomas Howes.
.         m ? Mary ____ (but this may have been a dau's name, see 1798 debenture below)

.         1790 Prince George's Co, Md census, p 291, Henry House, 1 WM >16, 3 white females, no slaves.
.         1798 Frederick Co, Md debenture: Charles Howes ceded land in Prince George's Co, Md to Mary Howes, of same county.  He men-
.                  tioned that this land was owned by his father Henry Howes, who had recently died.  That same year, in Berkeley Co, Va,
.                  Henry Howes signed over his interest in this same land to Mary Howes of Md.  (The language in this document insinuates that
.                  Henry's father was Henry.  So apparently Charles and Henry were brothers.  Mary could have been their mother or sister.
.                  Also in Frederick Co in 1800 census: Caleb, Daniel, George, John, Thomas, William, and William House Sr, but no Howes.)
.         1800 census, Mary not located (although a Mary House was living in Cabarrus Co, NC then, as well as a John House)

.          Notes:   (misc references that may be connected to this family, but no proof)
.                       1.   William Howes came to the Patuxent River in Calvert Co, Md in Dec 1653.  He was apparently from Norfolk, Eng and
.                             came to America in 1649.  He received 150 acres in Md, and sold this shortly after arriving.  He had a son William.
.                       2.   Charles Howes left a will 4 Aug 1716 in Calvert Co, Md, listing Elizabeth Weems, Jean Adams, Henry & Edw Howes,
.                             James, Thomas, Eliza, etc.
.                       3.   Edward How was in 1804 Washington Co list of tithables.
.                       4.   James House's will was prob 1786 in Onslow Co, NC, listing wife Mary, and children Charles, Sarah, James, Polly,
.                             Nancy Lorance, and Buckner.
