. b ca 1723; d ca 1798 Prince George's Co, Md. One source at familysearch.org (submission id: MMWP-6JD), says he was b 1723

. that Henry Sr was s/o Charles Howes, b 1660, d 1716, who was s/o Thomas Howes.

. 1790 Prince George's Co, Md census, p 291, Henry House, 1 WM >16, 3 white females, no slaves.
. 1798 Frederick Co, Md debenture: Charles Howes ceded land in Prince George's Co, Md to Mary Howes, of same county. He men-
. tioned that this land was owned by his father Henry Howes, who had recently died. That same year, in Berkeley Co, Va,
. Henry Howes signed over his interest in this same land to Mary Howes of Md. (The language in this document insinuates that
. Henry's father was Henry. So apparently Charles and Henry were brothers. Mary could have been their mother or sister.
. Also in Frederick Co in 1800 census: Caleb, Daniel, George, John, Thomas, William, and William House Sr, but no Howes.)
. 1800 census, Mary not located (although a Mary House was living in Cabarrus Co, NC then, as well as a John House)

. 1. William Howes came to the Patuxent River in Calvert Co, Md in Dec 1653. He was apparently from Norfolk, Eng and
. came to America in 1649. He received 150 acres in Md, and sold this shortly after arriving. He had a son William.
. 2. Charles Howes left a will 4 Aug 1716 in Calvert Co, Md, listing Elizabeth Weems, Jean Adams, Henry & Edw Howes,
. James, Thomas, Eliza, etc.

. Nancy Lorance, and Buckner.
. Ref: 1. Robert Howes (Bob) Montgomery's notes on the Howes family, email: email@example.com Bob said that
. Henry Howes of Prince George's Co, Md (who d ca 1798) was a s/o Henry Howes, s/o Edward Howes. This may have
. been the Edward mentioned in the 1716 will of Charles Howes in Calvert Co, Md. Bob thought that the older Henry was
. a s/o Edward, s/o John, s/o the immigrant William, but was citing this from memory, and not his records.
. 2. Lewis L. Howes, 504 White Hall Circle, Hampton, Va 23669, in 1983 letter: the descendants of John Howes of Mont-
