. 1798 Frederick Co, Md debenture: Charles Howes ceded land in Prince George's Co, Md to Mary Howes, of same county. He men-
. tioned that this land was owned by his father Henry Howes, who had recently died. That same year, in Berkeley Co, Va,
. Henry Howes signed over his interest in this same land to Mary Howes of Md. The language in this document insinuates that
. Henry's father was Henry. So apparently Charles and Henry were brothers. Mary could have been their mother or sister.
