Jefferson City Post-Tribune", 26 Mar 1930: Mrs. Mary Medlock Died Near Elston, Funeral Thursday.  Mrs. Mary Med-
.                           lock, 79, pioneer resident of the Elston neighborhood died shortly after midnight this morning after a lingering illness.  Mrs.
.                           Medlock had been a resident of Cole County nearly all her life residing for more than half a century on a farm 4 miles north
.                           of Elston.  She is mourned by her husband, John Medlock and two daughters, Mrs. Ben Knife of Coquille, Ore., and Mrs.
.                           R. D. Knife of Centertown. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from King Chapel Church. Burial
.                           will be at Elston. Mrs. Medlock had a wide acquaintance in the county.
